Meet Dr. Camille Walker
Dr. Camille Walker was raised in the Pacific Northwest. She completed her undergraduate degree at Washington State University and earned her Doctor of Dental Surgery from the University of Minnesota. Upon graduation from dental school, Dr. Walker served three years on active duty as general dentist and commissioned officer of the United States Navy.
Her experiences as a military dentist and a meaningful mentorship with her hometown orthodontist led Dr. Walker to pursue specialty training in orthodontics. She earned her Certificate in Orthodontics from Montefiore Medical Center, teaching hospital for Albert Einstein University, in New York City.
After finishing her training and practicing orthodontics in Rye, New York and Darien, Connecticut, Dr. Walker relocated from Manhattan back to the Pacific Northwest. Dr. Walker crossed paths with Dr. Shoger and they instantly bonded over common experiences and a shared orthodontic treatment philosophy.
In 2014, when Dr. Shoger was ready to announce his retirement, he choose Dr. Walker to continue the practice and patient care that he had spent 25 years building. The transfer of ownership was completed in January of 2014.
Dr. Walker is board certified in the specialty of orthodontics. This certification is held by only a small percentage of orthodontists and is earned voluntarily through a series of examinations by the American Board of Orthodontists. Involvement in this rigorous process demonstrates Dr. Walker’s commitment to continued proficiency and excellence in orthodontics. Dr. Walker is a member of the American Dental Association, American Association of Orthodontists, Pacific Coast Society of Orthodontists, and the College of Diplomates of the American Board of Orthodontics.
Outside of creating smiles, Dr. Walker’s passions are seeing the world, cooking and eating (anything foodie related), reading, yoga, and enjoying the great outdoors.
