Braces Options

Today, there are more types of braces available than ever before. The old standard metal brackets and rubber bands are only one option among many. At Walker Orthodontics, we use the Damon system, which is smaller, faster, and easier to keep clean. For discreet treatment we also offer Invisalign.

Damon Braces

Damon Q

At Walker Orthodontics we are pleased to offer Damon passive self-ligating braces. It is important to know that not all braces are the same. Damon braces use a special slide mechanism to hold the archwire in place, reducing the amount of pressure on the teeth and allowing them to move more comfortably and quickly. These special braces are designed to be used without elastic ties, which attract and collect plaque. Damon braces are designed to be discreet, comfortable and easy to keep clean.

The combination of these modern braces with high-tech archwires has created a revolutionary system which delivers lighter forces and more efficient tooth movement. This means we can give you the results you want more quickly and with less discomfort than ever before.

Invisalign

Invisalign offers a cutting-edge approach to orthodontics by using a series of custom-made, invisible aligners. Using 3-D computer imaging, each aligner is created specific to your teeth and gradually and gently shifts your teeth into place. You’ll visit our practice about once every six weeks to ensure your treatment is progressing as planned. A consultation with Dr. Walker will determine if Invisalign is right for you.

Why Choose Invisalign?

How Does it Work?

Using modern 3-D imaging technology, a custom series of aligners is made for you. Every two weeks, you switch to a new aligner. As you switch aligners, your teeth gradually and comfortably shift, resulting in a beautiful smile. Dr. Walker will have you come by their office every six weeks to confirm the progress of your treatment.

Invisalign Teen

Invisalign Teen

Worried about having metal braces for Prom, yearbook photos, or playing sports? Invisalign clear aligners are virtually invisible and most people do not even notice them. Since they are removable, you can eat what you want without any worry of breaking a bracket or rubber band. Not only are the aligners removable, they are very durable. No matter if you are acting, playing soccer, running cross country or part of the school band, Invisalign will let you continue to do all the activities you love.

What sets them apart from Invisalign?

Invisalign teen comes equipped with a special wear indicator that allows us to monitor treatment progress and wear time for the most efficient and effective results.

Align iTero Scanner

iTero® Element™ Scanner

Even under the best of conditions, traditional impressions were still uncomfortable, occasionally unreliable and unpleasant tasting. That’s why we’re proud to offer goop-free, full digital impressions with the revolutionary iTero® Element™ Scanner.

Not only is a digital impression more comfortable, it’s also much more accurate. The scanner takes an incredibly detailed impression of your teeth and gums. Once the scan is complete, Dr. Walker will then have a 3D model of your mouth that can be used with all Invisalign® services, including the Invisalign Outcome Simulator to show you what your new smile might look like. It can be used with all treatment types, including Insignia custom braces.

Comfortable, Fast & Accurate

  • Breathe and swallow as you normally would
  • No unpleasant taste or smell
  • View 3D scans onscreen with your orthodontist immediately
  • Allows for a precise fit of Invisalign clear aligners and retainers
